When I decided to start making clothes in Second Life I also decided that my clothes had to have three things:
1. They had to be good quality
2. They had to be unique
3. They had to be well priced
Then I decided they actually needed to have four things, number four being funny names.
What’s an awesome tank top without a catchy name? About 100 lindens…haha. But seriously, it’s true, things in this game can be quite pricey and if I was going to do this I wanted my items to be all of the above.
Naming my stuff came well after I had designed and decided on prices, it was kind of secondary but necessary. I wanted people to buy my stuff but if they couldn’t afford it or maybe it wasn’t to their tastes I at least wanted to give them a laugh or something to talk about.
Here are a few examples of the names I came up with, and if you can believe it “Virgin Blood” is one of our most popular tank tops.
